ReachOut Ministry

ReachOut is a systematic and coordinated ministry to reach out to those members of our community that visit our worship services. The goal is to use the tools God has blessed us with as effectively as we can to make visitors know that they are welcomed and to help integrate them into our family with the hopes that we can become their church family. There are 4 main areas to this ministry.

  • Visiting
Each local visitor to our worship services will receive a visit from a member of the congregation within 48 hours of their first visit. This is a short, 5-10 minute, door step visit to personally thank them for visiting and invite them back. We want to reach out to them personally, face to face.

  • Telephoning
Later that week the visitor will receive a phone call from a member of the congregation to invite them back and let them know about Sunday School classes, potlucks and other upcoming events that we would like for them to be involved in. This will also give them an opportunity to ask any questions they may have after reflecting on their visit to our worship several days earlier.

  • Sharing Meals
If they continue to meet with us, we will host them for a meal. This meal will be hosted in the home of one of our members and will be attended by other members that have similar interest, backgrounds, etc.. This will give them the opportunity to ask more questions about our church family and to start building relationships with others in the congregation.

  • Prayer
This is the most important part of the ministry. Each week their will be individuals praying for the ministry and also praying for those we are reaching out to. Those who are praying are provided with information about those we are reaching out to so that they can pray for them specifically and by name. There will also be groups that meet together during the week to pray for the ministry and for specific needs that arise.
